Waiting on God

I think its pretty unquie how the Bible shows the skill of wiating. Sarah waited over twenty-five years for her promised son. Jospeh waited over thirteen years before becoming Prime Minister of Egypt. David waited over six-teen years become becoming King. What are you waiting on God for?

Maybe it's healing, guidance, a goal, or even a response.

My biggest advice when waiting on God is to have a heart posture of worship with graditude.

There was one period in my life where I felt like waiting was a punishment. My senior year in college, literally was pushed back times. The first was due to financial hardship and the others was due to taking on a corporate internship. While, I was waiting to reach gradaution-it felt like there were set-backs or chanages that made waiting feel longer. Similar to my waiting process, in Isaiah 40 the prophet Isaiah spoke to the people in Jerusalem concerning the war against them.

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

In this waiting season you are gain strenght in God and in the areas that He wants to sharpen in you as you wait. So keep going while you are waiting remeber...

Hebrew 13:5 (KJV)

Let your manner of living be without covetousness, and be content with such things as ye have. For He hath said, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee”;
